Overview

The DriDown Pillow from Sierra Designs is a unique addition to any sleep system. With a down filled quilted cover and synthetic filled inner pillow, it combines the benefits that both of these insulation types have to offer. If you aren't a fan of the pillow insert, it is removable. You can take along just the outer cover, and fill it with spare clothes or an inflatable pillow of comparable size instead.  It comes with its own stuff sack too. With the pillow insert, it packs down to the size of a Nalgene bottle. Without the insert, it's no bigger than an orange!

Pros

  • Lightweight and compressible.

  • Removable insert allows for versatility.

  • Two colors to choose from.  (blue or red)

  • Quilted cover design provides even lofting.

  • Synthetic insert provides support that down can't.

Cons

  • Outer fabric is slick causing the pillow to slide around during the night.

  • Smaller than budget brand synthetic camp pillows.
